    The birthday gift.........

Will thought id add some more to here to keep it going??

The old mans bdays coming up an he has done heap for me through my days so far an probley will continue to also. maybe turning 25 other day make me bit wizer??? how knows

I got him to send his me his trusty old rem 700 ADL in 30-06 now hes had this since the begging of time...........

Its the typical cockies rifle thats had its days bashing round in the front of the kike in the tractor been on mannnnnnnyyyyyyyy trips in new zealand an australia with a lot of tropies an wall hangers around there house an in the shed (was ment to take photos in the weekend but forgot)

He thought i was going to strip the stock an re-blue it give it a little tidy up.........but no i had other ideas

Stripped it down pulled the barrel, opend the bolt face, was goint to machine the stock out to take bottom metal when though nar shes seen better days an i know where i can get a nicer one that will take less work but has no checkering well that will be a different challange

Tidyed the action for nickel coating an got it all prepped back, then started on the barrel, the one i had on hand was going to be to heavy so in the machine she went an got thinned down to a number 3, then the thread was cut an the chamber got it fitting good, spun her arond threaded muzzel an crowned an the project was getting close

While i sent the action an bolt away to get the nickel coating done, i thought id flute the tube to an made the suppressor if he wants to use it to

Done the checkering on the stock witch my mothord seamed to work well an took 2 hours with my shakey hand, sanded it down pained couple bits then oiled the beast

When to bolt go back i even tryed to jewel the body to witch come out nice when i got the hang of that also

Just broke it out of the bedding last night when we got home an tidyed that up tonigh an put here back together

So heres the end thing for the old chap to collect this weekend i think he will get a suprize?

Basically the end rifle is almost a copy of a rem 700 CDL SF in 7mm rem mag

I will never complain about your prices Abe, just giving you shit about the option you provided. I am probably dumb enough to ask for retail tho, given the choice.
