Now down here in shakeytown weve had a little moisture fall into our laps over the last 48hrs.-great for the garden ,lawns ,ducks and all others who may like to prance au naturel in the summer showers, with assorted attachments gleaming&steaming
However old dopey drawers left his bloody favourite hunting boots& gummies out of the deck -result booth got waterlogged+++++.
Over a lovely cuppa char ,Me gets to thinking -old (genuine) electrolux in the mancave -its got both suck &blow function.a few bits of PVC downpipe ,assorted sizes ,and hey presto ,the DIY bootdryer is born.
Cut a length of 21/2"pipe blocked off both ends with wooden discs cut with holesaw(near size). Glued &rivetted these in ,then into one end cut a hole to fix ye olde lux pipe. not perfect fit but insulation tape is cheap &marvellous
right into the top of it I cut 2x 2"holes equally spaced. taking a length of 2"OD PVC pipe I cut 2x 15"lengths with a 45'taper on one end of each. round out edges out roughly match inside of chamber .a coupla turns of tape on each and force fit em into the precut holes.
Ive sealed it with rubber glue (rough as guts) but by hell me boots is drying nicely and bloody gummies wont be far behind i tell ya .
On sipping me tea another wee thought entered me swede -ya could replace the lux with a cheap hairdryer or hot airgun.
I knows H&F stores have the bastards with all the whistles and bells ,but me, I ma bloke of long gorse filled pockets and a fertile imagination.
So there ya go another bit of duckshootin kit built after a nightshift ,at no cost ,and before Ive even had a beer.
bugger ,some days a man is just bloody brilliant!
I'll try &post some photos later after shes done her maiden test run.
For all you lusty lads ,sorry doubt if it'll lift the lassies skirts that high!!
