Springs are a little different in the bsa triggers. If the "adjustment" isn't working I would look at a spring change. My Hunter had an abomination of a trigger job done on it. Sear spring was knackered and the cocking piece on bolt and sear had 45 degree angles put on it making it slam fire when the bolt was closed. A bit of a rat through a box of springs at a gunshop and angle changes bought it back nice and crisp.

Half cock can be the notch in the bolt body for cocking piece. Does it still fire ok, are you getting soft strikes?

Previous owner didnt use it very much but shot it without misfire. The cocking piece has a slight flat worn on it, I can tidy the notch in the bolt body with a chainsaw file but really need a bolt from a perfectly functioning rifle as a reference for measurement comparison
