Thread: Cabinetmaker in Auckland area?

Running out of free space in a safe.. Thinking to do the design of gun cabinet by myself, do all the drawings, etc. And the next step will be to find a skilled cabinetmaker who can price and manufacture what I've drawn. Thinking to make a cabinet from fancy timber(if I can afford it) and maybe put some wood carving as well? Any recommendations?

Just called to one company in west auckland, asking if they can make what I'm after. And the guy told me "I would of prefer if that was a usual cabinet, not gun cabinet. I don't like guns". What a level of customer service... Now i'm afraid to call to another furniture manufacturers.

P.S. In his defense though he said afterward that they are ready to do it for me. Because guns are legal. But I don't think that I will get back to them.

If your interested I know someone who could make you an adzed chapman taylor type one.
He likes guns too.
