Hi guys, thinking of taking at least 6" off my Baikal 223, it has a chromed barrel, any 'extra care' involved like chipping?....or should i just grow a pair and put it in the lathe......

Try a test a bit further up. :D
Thought of that....but being well acquainted with 'sods law' it will work on the 'small piece' and splinter like fuk on the finished article!!!!!Quote:

Buddy - got some really nice moderate 223 loads with 55gr blitzkings for you to try...
Can't wait to try on a few Goats but they sure smash the hell out of some liquid filled 1.5L and old oil containers aka test #1.

OK guys, another question, if i wanted to use this to say 200 mts max (please dont reply 'get another rifle!') and its barrel has a 1 in 12" twist (223 Rem) what would be the 'minimum' barrel length required?....as i cant add on after its chopped.....
Do you have a welder? You could add it back on when you plan on shooting long range :D
