    clever welders, alloy.

My favourite stock is an hs precision it has an alloy bedding block in it for a s/a rem. What's the chances of welding or somehow fitting a barnard alloy bedding block in the stock without warping or negative effects?
Any clever welders have any clues?

I see. That would kind of defeat the purpose of having a precision bedding block.
    Any other bright ideas?
    Thanks.

Do you really intend to weld a bedding block inside your stock???
You realise your are going to toast the epoxy that compose the laminate if you do so?
Epoxy bedding is the way go, forget about the original barnard bedding block, it will be as strong a much better fitted if properly done.

Yeah welding was just a thought. Maybe if done slow heat wouldn't be an issue. But it seems it will, so gone off that idea.
The thing is the Recoil lug is about 10mm in front of the rem one. Off the end of the rem alloy block.

Yep, again epoxy bedding is the solution.
It will take care of that forward recoil lug.
