Good job. Are you going to make it into a 'lead sled' type rest ??
thanks... hmm was planning to just put a sand bag on it as already quite firm ( with only 3 points of contact) lol, i should have grabbed the "caution works ahead" sign that was with it as I could have folded that into a tray...next Tip trip another look in the recycle shop
@muzza2020,
I'm sure that's not what she meant by "Give it a rest, Muzza!"
I'm ashamed to say, I have a similar device, only the jack is a bottle jack and it's an old metal ironing board. Works bloody well,except for when it led to my shooting the bloody chrony.
Looks to me like some sort of marital aid, Muzza....? Mind you, at YOUR age.......
Good old Kiwi ingenuity at its best on display right there Muzza. On ya mate!
@Ranger 888..lol just to confirm its intended purpose.Attachment 148998
Well done, Muzza, I always said you aren't just a pretty face!
I did the same thing. But I used a slide through sleeve and clamp at the Tee where the rear attaches to the scissor so that it separates into two pieces.....

There is a washer fitted as a knob so I can adjust the height from both sides of the jack, and on the bottom leg on one side is another washer as a knob. Turning that tightens the clamp on the centre arm and allows for an adjustable length. (Some of my rifles have sling studs in different places....)
