    DIY Induction annealer

I got tired of using gas and a drill, and found it a bit inconsistent when the bottle got a bit light etc I thought an induction system would be the way forward.
So I did a fair bit of research and came across many interesting articles, a couple of good ones were from guys on this forum that have built them as well.

I contacted them and they were very helpful.

For the genuine novice with very little electrical theory its a big ask to get it all together without burning out a few designs, so I would suggest you need at least a rudimentary understanding to start with and there is a lot to learn.

One big thing I did learn is that there is good reason for the cost of a professional build, if my time wasn't free to me I would have been better off buying a machine!

But there is the "give it a crack Nige " in me that persists with whatever I do.

So without further ado here is a short video of what I built.

    Hi John,

I am waiting patiently for my new Induction annealer to come over from Australia. My retired older brother has time on his hands and a far better brain than mine, plus the necessary equipment and time to make me a DIY annealer.

    Cost all up around $320Aussie.

@ihmsakiwi very nice I guess the frame was made on the laser cutter its sitting on?
Do you know where he sourced the scissor jack device from? that looks a neat way to alter case height, did he use an arduino for the controller system?

    Hi JohnD,

I have a complete product code / price list of 99% of the components but can't work out how to post an excel spreadsheet?

Happy to PM you if you are happy to PM me your email address.
