That looks heaps better and a good weight saving too.
I just rounded that figure it was actually around 230 grams, but still a good saving on an already light rifle. Just did some quick calcs. It weighed in at 2.472 kg before I removed the gel, now down to 2.237kg or 4.9 pounds.
That is including Talleys, bolt and magazine but no scope or suppressor.
If I add 285g suppressor (dpt) and vx3hd 2.5-8x36 (323g) it will come in at just over 6 pounds but then by the time I loose 6 inches of barrel approximately 120g it will be bang on 6 pounds ready to go. Well that's the goal anyway and I reckon it's well and truely achievable.
Honestly still think that's an epic allrounder. Reasonable barrel length, short overall length, plastic stock that's not to stressed about scratching up and lightweight. Down here though the extra few inch of barrel is a happy trade for the suppressor in open country and my 7mm is pretty rugged nowadays. Hope your enjoying it
I reckon it looks nice compared to factory. I duno why they chose that brown colour for the hunter.

To matt off the satin finish, try rubbing it down with steel wool, or if thats still too shiny, scotchbrite. Rub only in one direction (along the length of the stock) and it should look nice and even.
Shit that came up mint. Don't like the factory colour either
