Very good Toby.
Keep it up, you have a talent there.
Thanks Matt
that is awesome Toby good work
You're finding your vocation now Toby, nice work. Need to do something that will cover that bloody GC logo though man. If your creativity and skill can cover up other engraving fuck-ups and unwanted markings, that could be a niche...
After building a bit of a swing arm for a motorbike I got bored and started engraving on a bit of scrap again, done a little bird and stag I haven't finished yet, probably never will either.

Might have to look at getting me one of these engraving tools. Maybe something lighter this thing gets heavy after a while
Have a decko at some of the work of the early Master Engravers for FN in Belgium, like Felix Funken and Louis Vranken. I've some pix at home I'll scan in for you. Those guys did not restrict themselves to game scenes, some of their geometric patterns are stunning, particularly an Egyptian themed Auto 5 comes to mind. They did a lot of inlay work as well for effect and hi lighting but it's not compulsory by any means.
I should draw a wasp. I hae this idea of a wasp and inlayed the yellow and black on it. Kinda have it so it looks like its about to sting up on the end of action stinger pointing towards the muzzle. I reckon it'll look shit hot a wasp theme on a rifle
On a .22 Hornet, or a .17 Bee!
Even better!! A hornet on a hornet. Good thinking 99. Remind me when I'm 30+and a master gunsmith and I'll do it. Also somehow checker a hornet on it

I really like the sunburst effect in the middle of this page...

The old Auto 5 has a lot of real estate for engraving :)
That was worth breaking my neck :D
I like the top ones but those pattern ones don't do much for me. I saw a book at a mates place that showed some guns, Beretta big four I think it was they had amazing engraving on them.
