    fiddy cal build.

i had a hankering for a 50 cal for a while now and decided to make myself a winter project.
i ordered a dixie hawken flintlock kit, i just spent the weekend taking the rough cut gem, and assembling her for finishing off.

    as held by my assistant.

started on the sanding and have a fine piece of walnut coming thru.
    updates to follow

It takes 43 muscle's to frown and 17 to smile, but only 3 for proper trigger pull.

Real guns start with the number 3 or bigger and make two holes, one in and one out

now that i am reattached with the 21st century :

    a couple pics.

rite out of the blueing salts.

sanded the stock down to 600 grit (coz i had the brass fittings on it at the time and flushed them at the same time) starting to come up realy nice i think.

not yet sarted on the brass polish yet so still a wee way to go.
