About LinkBacksit might be worth having a look at "How-to" Gun smithing, dvd course. it is available from AGI - American Gunsmithing Institute. I have a sample dvd that I'm able to send if that is of any help.
I would suggest getting some machining skills prior to attempting anything major,it will serve you well and save you a bucket of money avoiding costly mistakes.
