    hot oil blueing

    was mucking round on YouTube and found this video
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N3jt-73JfEE I had a couple of thread protectors that @Danny made me which are bare steel so I thought id try it I heated till dark purple and quenched in clean motor oil
    its come out a deep dark blue and looks awesome
