Has any one seen or have a platform that attaches to the rear of a vehicle. Ive got a nissan terrano and i want to get something made so that when spot lighting you can stand on the rear of the truck.

Why am I reminded of the platform one attached via the 3 point linkage to the back of the Fergie tractors?

You'd have to sorta build a rear bumper then make your platform say plug in like a couple of tow bar receivers maybe. If your tow bar is strong enough maybe weld one receiver each side then box section and plywood platform Keeping in mind you want the back door shut so it doesn't smash into you I reckon that would be worth investigation ?? When you want it plug it in and you re. away !

You could plug into the hi lift jack points, my dad has made a similar rack for loading my mothers wheelchair that weighs 120 kgs, will see if i can find some pics.

Something I have thought about too. Would need to be quite short or mounted high so you don't get the back end stuck. Another option is a hatch in the roof, either above the foot area of the rear seats or the boot area. This makes communication with the driver easier and is warmer.
There are only three types of people in this world. Those that can count, and those that can't!
Have seen one of these around the traps somewhere. Build it above the bumper, has to be mounted at least one mount on either side, bars up on the 4 corners and a padded frame around the top at approx bum height - make it any higher and you belt the hell out of your kidneys. Make the front high enough to extend a platform over the roof to shoot off, but with low sides to keep all your ammo etc handy. Wire up a small 2 or 3 way switch with matching small 2 or 3 lights that you tape to the outside top of the windscreen, one for left, one for right, and either one for stop or both for stop. Much simpler and quieter than yelling instructions to the driver. Also have seen one made to fit on to the spare wheel carrier.
