    Hydro Dip 410

Just had a couple of my suppressed 410s hydro-dipped and have to say what a difference. It really puts them on a different level, not a cheap option but gives them a more quality look and the added choice to the customer.

Just out of interest what do you prefer of the three ?, the standard camo, arctic camo or standard factory black. So far I have about 50/50 with older people going for the green and younger guys opting for the arctic.

Better question, what's with the 'no slug' badge on the side? I'd have thought that was a really useful option...

I like the green. I've also seen it done in a wood grain as well which looks quite good. How durable is the finish?

The barrels are extensively ported and the internal suppression system is suited to shot running at a standard velocity. Also slugs run a lot faster, typically 1850 ft/sec so these things are really designed for use with shot

Seems pretty good the company we use puts this finish on many applications

My guess is it's something to do with the construction of the slug versus shot, possibly the full length cup with a shot charge prevents baffle damage?
In the time it took to type that the proper answer turns up 😞

Bugger, good to know. I was looking at a suppressed 410 a while back, while i was dicking about it got snapped up. Glad I didn't now as I was intending to use 410 slug for pigs and I would have been highly upset to have damaged it without being aware...

OK so I will put it out there.....if our man built them to take buckshot and or solids...with proviso that they will be QUIETER than without suppressor but NOT silent....the market is there.

Yep there are quieter for sure but without giving away the details of the design, used with shot they are really very quiet, using the high velocity slugs beats up the internal components and soon makes them not perform as well. That together with an extensively ported barrel that is choked leads me to say they are built for use with shot.

The market for these is really aimed at small blocks and orchards etc. the thing being close range and quiet with no risk of ricochet like a 22

    Cheers
