I'll also go the 358 win,
i recon they are good to 300 mtr with a 200 mtr zero. 13-15" drop at 300 mtrs,
but now finally after many years some of the copper bullet makers are coming out with lighter faster bullets that also have better BC's than the Nosler or Gamekings.
ie Hammer 196gr HHT at 2700fps and a BC or 0.435, ( should take a couple of inchs of drop off.)
and for bush hunting or plinking and learners I just run piston bullets ie 158 gr XTP's over trail boss at 23-2400 fps.

PS a 308 with simalar bullet weights will top out at 2550 fps ( but with better BC's)
