Sometimes you just make things because that's what the customer wants. In this case a mate wanted and an OTT brake for his Mossin, the brief was big, bold , reduce recoil and make it loud.

Well I'm pleased to say it ticked every box ha ha, and in the two main respects, it cut down recoil significantly and sure is loud !

Like it.....but there is a really easy way to get more noise from a Mosin......Factroy ammo from a shortened barrel. Anything under 20 inches will have enough powder burning outside the muzzle to spotlight with....Better yet, try that one at night on a shorter barrel....Flame on....

Yep always fun, I tried an AR50...50 Cal a while back, the muzzle blast actually loosened a bit of iron on a wall at the range ha ha

so I take it thats the std brake they came with??? did you see there is a add on to remove the noise bit??? was available from new.

sounds like suppressor needed to me LOL....I really dont like loudeners .

yeah, shoulda stopped the project with the mention of Mosin
