JW15 trigger overtravel
This has got to be the single best thing I’ve done to my JW15. It’s a great little rifle and quite accurate, but the 4 miles of overtravel in the trigger has always annoyed me. Just didn’t feel like a ‘real’ rifle to me. So I spent a bit of time thinking about how to rectify it after finding basically nothing on the ‘net about how to sort it. I came up with what I thought was a stellar solution, and turns out it’s exactly what Bruno did on their later model 1’s…. Easy job, and makes a HUGE difference to how the rifle feels now.

Just means you have to push the trigger forward to remove the bolt.

I agree, the biggest issue with these rifles is the trigger drift pins come loose and mine has even gone off with a knock as the sear isn't really enough grab.

Great idea! I may do the same, simply because i can

Thats interesting as I have a 1980's jw15 and I have aways had to push the trigger forward to get the bolt out.

Trigger on jw15
Picked this older jw15 made for ClayCo in Kansas a model 4 and it has this over travel screw as standard as the one in photo, mines all in pieces but will put picture up when I’m done.Attachment 265988
Certainly like having an over travel screw it improved my accuracy on the EM332 and hopefully this jw15 should be good.

Just got picture of my jw trigger still have to give it a good old clean but it’s the same assembly as photo I found and posted yesterday
From off the web. Both trigger adjustment screws can be adjusted Attachment 266013easily without stripping down the rifle.Attachment 266014 and yes trigger has to be pushed forward to take out bolt. Just need to polish sear toying with cutting barrel and recrown needs rebluing but cold blue will have to do then stock needs a tidy up.
