Thread: Laminate wood

I'm looking for Laminate wood to make a Mannlicher style rifle stock.

Does anyone know of any NZ manufacturers that make it?
All I've been able to find is veneer stuff and kitchens/floors.

Specifically looking for "pepper" or "black/grey"

I can order from Boyds gun stocks (too short) or Richards Microfit (expensive, won't ship international) but I'd prefer a local NZ supplier.

My duplicator is almost complete

Hmm, any chance of a pic of the duplicator? I'm dead keen on building one of these.

As for the laminate, I'd just make my own if its not freely available?

Hunter laminates nelson.
They make pre formed structural beams etc.
Could be worth a ring at least.

Iron works in the us have blanks
There is a bunch of places around on the net if you look

There's a specialized laminating company at Papamoa, they would do out of the ord timbers and Moxons in the Mount may have the timber your looking for, they have their own drying kilns PM me
