Tidy work on that bolt. Not my preference. But what does it achieve?

Was adding recoil pins to some mounts so decided I may as well turn my Howa into a mini Tikka and slab side it. I call it the Howikka. Profiled like a Tikka front the inlet up, Howa mini from inlet down. Recoil pins so ensure it holds zero through some abuse.

Stockys VGmini. Nice option for the Mini about 610grams. Very shootable.

It is a decent sized pin at 7mm. But bigger is better right? Nah the rem 700 sized scope screw spacing was the deciding factor.

Interestingly that's heavier than my chassis for them. I do like carbon fibre though

Not much difference by the time you add a grip and bagrider. The chassis serves a different purpose. But they aren't comparable ergonomically. I get a longer forend a vertical grip with thumb above grip not wrapped. It rides a bag etc. I'm just not a big chassis guy.
