    Lightweight AR build

    So with the possibility high of AR's possibly getting banned or parts atleast I decided its time to build another, as light, simple and cheap as possible.
    ill post up bits and pieces as I do them and as I find parts!

    so far I've got an DPMS upper, LBC chrome BCGa (both from people on here, cheers guys!) a carry handle and some other bits and pieces on the way.

    When the carry handle arrived I couldn't believe how heavy it was Luck for me its pretty easy to remove a 3rd of the weight (nearly 100g!) Cut the bottom out, drill the top rail, cut the middle out of the clamp rail and replace those heavy (24G each) tightening nuts with light alloy ones.

    You want world Class lite weight builds. Jump on FB and check out MSTN. Very classy 15 rigs.

    So as it happens all my stuff turned up pretty much within a week so I've just finished the build...
    Ended up with;
    DPMS upper
    Aero lower
    Pretty standard lpk with ambi safety and ally takedown pins, midwest ripoff handguard, a2 buffer tube with a fabbed alloy buttplate and stainless rod to a fab defence grip, ambi charge handle, lbc chrome bcg, 14.5 spanners barrel, low profile gas block, china special front iron with a cut down ranger handle on the rear.

    Has turned out pretty well I think. Weighs in at 2.8 kg too.
    Anyone want to take a stab at the cost??Name: 20180824_214803.jpg

    It's depends what "boat stuff" you're referring to...I can tell you it's price bracket is somewhere between bilge pump and super yacht.

    1500? Mine cost roughly that. I think a bit more about 1800 after mucking around with bits I needed.

    Damn son

    I had a new barrel though. If I'd gone for a blued second hand one it'd have been 1300.

    Just to finish it off added a foam cheek sleeve to the buffer tube. Brings the total up to $945. Not to shabby for under 1k. Itching to take it for a shoot!Name: 20180825_170237.jpg
