Thread: Making a Sharps Barrel in my lathe.

    Have lapped the barrel with 1.200grt emery and then went and had the laser etching done on top of the barrel. It`s now at the bluing shop for the last job on this rifle and when I get her back will reassemble ready
    Let me explain, the "1.200grt emery", is the paper stuff, you get a chunk and screw it up in a fire proof bowl , pour a bit of meths in and light if. when it`s finished you have a black ash, mix with a bit of oil and you have the homebrewed 1,200 lapping past , no such thing as "Can't do it". Homebrew.357.
