While you made a bad situation good with a common adapter.. What was wrong with the millions of aftermarket wheels that fit?

Common adapters don't fit the front hubs of the old hilux's. It's the locating ring which interferes. The rear is fine, as it has no locator ring.

Finding the correct offset for older hilux in factory wheels is difficult unless you want to spend minimum $400 a wheel. Add new tyres and you're upwards of $2600. All the cool kids are buying hilux's and slapping on 20" mags and tossing the factory wheels...suckers! So for someone cheap like me it only cost $400 including the spacers, two sets of rims and both with near new tyres.
