New hilux wheels, onto an older model hilux

If something sounds to good to be true...it often is.

This was the case with a set of new hilux wheels I purchased off trademe. The pcd of 139.7mm was fine, but the offset was not...big problem.

I'd got the wheels for a bargain and the seller gave me two extra sets for nothing, meaning that i wouldn't have to worry about spending money on tyres for a long time. But only if I could make the rims fit, as my factory wheels were 15" and my new sets were 16".

I wanted the solution to be cheap, so I found wheel spacers on trademe. $170 a set, which I'd need two of. Not bad so a deal was made. But (insert yelling, swearing and rather un-manly tantrums throwing) they didn't fit!

So with the magic of metal wizardry...

Awesome! Just like a brought one.

So now I have an older model hilux that takes newer model hilux wheels, I'll call that a success.
