    Norinco model 4 early JW15

Just finished doing a quick restore of a JW15 manufactured for ClayCo in Kansas USA mid 1980s
Got the gun recently off the for sale site just for local pest control, decided to clean it up a bit and
Made the decision to shorten barrel to 17” a good polish up re crowned cold blued and pleased how it’s
Turned out. It had a Nikko silver crown on top but I would like (I think) but still thinking of 2-7x32 bushnell rimfire
If anyone has one. Trigger feels very good and this early one has the over travel screw as standard.
The stock needs a clean up but I’m going to use as is for the time being as I want to introduce it to the bunnies.Name: IMG_0210.jpeg

physically smaller scope or just less magnification? I've got a 1-4x20 Barska scope I picked up from a member for $50 that I'm no longer going to use.. but it probably weighs more than the 4x32 you currently have.

reduced barrel length to about 17 inches re crowned and cleaned up nicely and re blued. A good polish of the trigger a bit lighter spring and slightly lighter firing spring bump tested all good, on to the stock which is old but feels nice so free floated barrel channel as was a bit warped and I fitted steel pillars and epoxied action and first inch of barrel to stock then today the postie delivered a tiara 4x28 Nikko sterling scope so decision to be made which scope Attachment 269289Attachment 269290Attachment 269291Attachment 269292to use, a no brainer for me the 4x28 tiara it just fits nice on this gun and cross hairs nice clear and fine. Hopefully it does the job which I’m sure it will then there will be a free 4x32 Nikko sterling to someone and an old gold crown 4x40 for a box of ammo.
Norinco model 4 made in 1983 and Tiara 4x28 more than likely older than that I’m sure these two oldies will do the job.

Thanks to Zimmer for the 4x32 and 4x28 much appreciated.

Hunting and fishing has it but price about $49 I got mine years ago, it is a paste mine is anyway probably because it’s old it only goes liquid as you apply it leave a couple of minutes and clean off with water, I used near on boiling water and then dried and a wipe down with gun oil.

my first rifle in early1970s was a stirling model 14 with nikkostirling 4x28tiara scope on top .ive lost ocunt of the jackos and bunnies that fell to that wee combination.Ilater put a 4x40tasco ob that rifle for jackos and spotlighting -very very few got away with a deadly rabbit ammo hollow point in the swede .
18months ago a very kind poster on here gave me a stirling plus scope and another buitler me a custom suppresor -yup i love it .
Im a lifelong fan of nikkostirling and tasco scope and their relation the bentley range . my bentley 4x28 and 4x40 lasted me 30+years before succumbing -4x40 atop ye old .303.

One of the best combinations I’ve had was a tasco 3-9x40 Japanese atop a weirauch mid 80s loved it and sold it mmm.
This Norinco and the Tiara should be a nice duo, my eyes not as good but should be ok and the setup is nice and lightweight, I’m pleased how it’s performing.
