With the help of a Mate [FSS ] we gave birth to this 9 mm blank pushing a 22 H&N 30 grain slug via a Crossman air gun barrel
The action is a little Rossi 410 block . To fire open action ,drop slug in the breech and place the 9mm blank on top . close action hammer back etc
Havent chronoed the speed but shoots well and only tested to 12m so far
I can reload the 9mm blanks slugs are cheep so just in case there is a 22lr shortage hahaa
When i was a younster I used to do similar but with ramset/hilti cartidges and a 22 slug down the barrel. Builder family so they were everywhere.

Hi yes i tried that way but the 22 cal Ramset blanks are getting harder to find .Not using this sort of fastening in the building industry so much now
also the dia of the 22 cal slug [looks like a pulled 22 lr projectile ] is slightly undersized for the 22LR barrel ,so i found them not as true .
Looking forward to reloading the 9mm blank as the powder used in these is fast an noisy . i feel that the right powder will be a lot quieter and still have the Oomph !!
now that one will be interesting to register...calibre/cartridge ummmm???

He has led me down this path What cal would you like to try
i guess the Monty will handle the 410 //22lr and 22 mag chamber pressures so stay with in those markers
or you could go with the older Rossi Pumba a lot heavier action etc cheers
