Old ‘PARDY’ hammer shotgun tidy up

I have an ancient shotgun I’m giving a clean/tidy up, on top of the rib there is engraved ‘PIONEER PARDY MAKER’ and just behind the hammers there is the word ‘PARDY’

Any idea of age, manufacturer and rarity/value?

He nui to ngaromanga, he iti to putanga.

You depart with mighty boasts, but you come back having done little.
Sounds like a typical hunting trip !

    Ta Muzz’s,
I’ll have a look under the barrels later, it’s a hammer gun with a Damascus (twist steel & iron) barrels.

And sorry guys, it’s a ‘PARDY’ - not a HARDY! Bloody useless auto correct!! (And useless of me not to notice...)

'Pardy' is just a knock-off of 'Purdey'. The gun will a low-quality cheap item, probably Belgian or Spanish and of very little value.

Thanks gundoc, pretty much what I expected.

Never mind, it makes an interesting wall hanging.
