Thread: An old one sympathetically bough back

Might be a bit old school for here so Admin can delete if ya want to, anyway here is an old Yeomanry carbine I bought back from a sorry state. Lucky a mate had a good one I could copy the missing parts from.

I started with a careful strip down and clean, just removing the loose surface rust but not patina. I then made the missing screw for the hammer but the bigger challenge was that all of the retained rammer assembly was also missing. Anyway with a bit of turning and hand work followed by ageing I think it came back just about undistinguishable from the original.
