I have attached a couple more pictures that should help, the first is a round in the mag which is essentially the same as any Mauser style mag of the time. The round pops up and into the extractor in the style of controlled round feed.

And for the ejection, it is just a spring loaded bit of steel, pointed out in this picture, which flicks the spent case out.

Let me know if that answers your questions! Happy to provide more pictures if needed.

Thankyou both. Great photos tell me much and I can relate to comments re comparisons between CRF and PF actions.

Hey kip, have you got any more close up pictures of the rear of your receiver with the aperture sight on it?

I got one m1910 sporter rebarrled in 30cal and had the factory Buckhorn sights swapped over.

God the sight picture is awful. Fun to shoot though, but could be a lot better.

@SeftonB here you go. It depends what kind of receiver bridge you have, the .280 came with the ring sight as an option like this one. If it was originally a military rifle or .303 sporter it probably doesn't have the right bridge.

Would be keen to see some pictures of yours, what caliber was it originally and what is it now?

Sorry about the photo bomb, I got it done into a 30 cal 303, shoots bloody well if your eyes are upto it haha. Is an original sporting rifle as far as my knowledge goes.

Very cool, looks like a Model-R factory sporter. A very nice gun, yes should be able to fab something up easy enough!
