Thread: Question for the gunsmiths

Have been wanting to build a 25 calibre for a while, 250-3000 or maybe 25-06. So now have me a Sako 25-06 barrel that Im gonna use and was thinking of rebarreling a BSA Imperial Featherweight to 25-06. The Sako barrel is 1.127" diameter along the tenon, the BSA thread is 1.115 diameter. Am I able to use the Sako barrel on the BSA, given that the Sako thread will be cut off and the new thread on the blank tenon? Or is there not enough meat in it, and I have to look for an action that uses a smaller diameter thread?
