Unhappy Remington 700 sps 7mm rem mag, what thread ?

Hey guys recently bought a muzzle brake off here for my sps rem 700 7mm rem mag, however due to my nievety bought a brake which was too big to be threaded on to my standard sps barrell (16mm diameter at the muzzle)
I have been offered a trade for a smaller brake that is 7mm caliber and I think 5/8x24 thread will this combination work on my barrell ?
Will the 5/8x24 thread leave enough wall thickness so as not to cause issues ?
Thanks everyone and sorry I'm such a newb

    You need 9/16 x 24 or 28 or M14 x 1

    M15 x 1 would also work just

The previous ones are the standard threads for sporter weight barrels like the SPS, Tikka lite, Sako etc

I could be wrong on the 5/8x24 thread
But with a 16mm diameter at the muzzle what size thread should I be looking at ?

    I have 14x1 on my rem 700 7mmRM
I was told it's fairly standard for rem barrel profiles in magnum calibre.

The two 7RM's here are both threaded 1/2-28.
