    Rifle Barrel Liners for .22LR

Is anybody aware of any gunsmith or barrel maker in NZ that installs barrel liners for .22lr rifles these days?

Was quite a common repair job for damaged or shot-out barrels up till the 1990's or so, just haven't seen anybody advertising this type of service. Called a few reputable gunsmiths who could do the job, however they don't know of anybody who has barrel liners for sale locally.

Have an old Sportco 62A I've had for a million years, but sadly I found some damage and would just like to have the barrel re-lined.

    Any ideas would be appreciated

    Thanks

Thanks for that info, it's appreciated.

Seems to be exactly the same issue I've struck, guys can do the job, but nobody is importing them anymore

I have looked a bringing a heap in but it's a real hassle and the cost of doing the jobs would be more than some of the rifles are worth

I am lining one at the moment but I'm turning the liner from a new full profile 224 barrel to line and chamber to 22 WMR
It's a lot of work so it needs to be for something special

Tried Brownells? They have them listed for US$95.
