Freddy, that's a sweet little XY table for the drill press.

Is it a standard toolshed item ? How long ago did you get it ?

Good bit of kit that table for $99.Got it when I started the saum. Had a bit of tweaking to do and it dont have a lot of travel but its doing the job. The press is a piece of shit . Has a way lot of play in the updown shaft but I think I can make a split collar to fit around it and fasten to the body of the thing.

Cheers Toby. Would be a lot better with a few more rpms. Will look at upping the pully ratios a bit. Still using router and dremel etc for some bits. Decided to not checker the laminated stock but will do this one, Will nead to practise on something first.

tx Freddy, do you use end mills, drill bits or router bits for the parts where you are not going right thru ?

Using router bits at the mo ebf. Using reasonably large dia to try and achieve max blade speed but may cut better and cleaner with 4 blade mill bits , never used them before.

Todays effort. Had a rethink on the cap and decided to go with black to match butpad. Sanded one side with 180 grit.
