    Shooting Hut

    Hi Guys ,

I am thinking of making a small hut on my mates farm , to be used as a shooting platform & a sleep out now and then , mainly just a covered shooting position .

Any ideas on the design / layout , will be appreciated .

    Cheers Chris

Following, mine would be handy if it can go on the back of the quad in small panels to get reassembled

Build it on a trailer frame, so once the area is shot out....move it.

One day I'm going to build a benchrest to tow behind the quad, easy enough since I work for a trailer equipment wholesaler

    Yeah ,

Should have built it years ago , I have a rough idea of the size , its going to be 3 sheets of ply for the floor .
both long sides will have hatches/windows to shoot from , from one side I have just over 900m & on the otherside a easy 840m & a differcult 1665m .
The short sides , one will have the door & the other nothing .
It will be just sheets of ply & a iron roof , and 2nd hand windows etc .
Thinking to put wires over the top to posts , like some of the Alpine huts , as its bloodly windy .

    Cheers Chris

A good shooting platform is as essential as your shooting companion

Real guns start with the number 3 or bigger and make two holes, one in and one out

simple A frame is pretty easy to build. I used to have a small garden shed I carted into the bush in pieces, bloody loud in the rain though.
Never argue with stupid people, they will drag you down to their level and then beat you with experience.
