    Right after a whole lot of research I've decided on going the best of both worlds.
    I'm going to get a side piece, like a overhanging tab welded to my dust cover mount, and then tap the receiver to bolt the tab too - that way I don't loose what I've spent - but get the rigidity of a side mount.
