I did see an SKS converted to a pump action not long after the sks rifles started coming in. This was well before the MSSA fiasco started. The owner did it because he was a lefty and did not like the shells coming across in front of his face. So he made it a pump so he had time to fire, then reload after the gas has gone. His accuracy was pretty good too. I put it down to no moving parts will rifle is firing. But he did have to fair slam it shut each time and it was hard on the fore arms and noisy as hell.
Try have a pump action AR type rifle so the precedent has clearly been set.
