So far caliber wise a 250-3000 AI would be my pick with 110 ABs at 3000 ++. That calibre would be the best combination of light powder charge for velocity and low recoil, but not something available off shelf. I already know what 110 AB's can do.
In looking for an action I wonder if the Howa micro minis which come already barreled in 6.5x47 would be the go, 125 partitions at 2850 could be possible. With a short barrel and a fast powder (RL15) the 47 is probably could be a better choice than a 260 ?? @Wingman ???
Well blow me down Garth you could have a very valid point there, pretty sure someone was making nice C/F stocks for these mini actions too ?

Those minis are nice but weigh more than a kimber an dare limited to small catridges. I would buy a Kimber hunter in 6.5 creed and remove gel from stock and be done with it for about 2k. Or buy a Montana. There are so very light kimber builds and guys have even built 284 based cases on them however that's some more advanced smiting required.
Bill999 and Moa Hunter like this.
