Thread: Three knives

I sorta kinda maybe thought I'd give away the knifemaking for a while, but then decided I wanted a couple of knives which had edges that curved quite gradually up to the point, and without a protruding guard (top two in the image). Also found a blank with a 4 finger-groove handle which I thought I may as well assemble.

All are L6 carbon steel.

Top: untapered tang, wenge handle, overall length 236 mm, blade 113 mm (have used this knife a couple of times, I still have all my fingers so didn't miss having a longer guard!).

Middle: tapered tang, ebony handle, overall length 249 mm, blade 123 mm

Bottom: tapered tang, wenge handle, overall length 237 mm, blade 113 mm

BTW I took a bunch of pics as I was making the bottom knife -- would there be much (any?) interest if I was to do a "photo-essay" showing how I make these knives? I'd anticipate maybe half a dozen picture-heavy posts, but the images would be only 200 - 400 kB.

I'll revisit this thread in a week or two to gauge the level of interest in doing a photo-essay.
