Hi
Here's a quick video of the 30/223 project rifle.
It's all working as it should - though it will get some more attention like turning down the barrel and shortening it a tad to reduce weight. Plus I'll look at making a new stock and fitting a lighter suppressor to it when time allows....But thats all ''nice to have'' stuff and wont make it shoot any better or quieter.
Anyway, the basics of my load are:
- .223rem case necked up to .30cal
- 240gr SMK projectile
- Federal small rifle primer
- 11.0 grains of AR2205 powder
- Bullet seated about 10thou from lands
- Velocity sits around the 1020fps mark (+/-)
The loudest noise is the impact of that ''locomotive'' of a projectile hitting the dirt! I'd say noise wise about the same as a suppressed sub-sonic .22lr or a little quieter than say a CO2 air pistol?
