    Last rework was done by Mike Collings in 1994 - according to Ross Collings (Collings and Bradey), who did some work on the stock recently.
    As its a little 'smoked' on the start of the rifling (chasing the rifling at 80.02mm CBTO), it's time to 'bite the bullet' and think about a rebarrel.
    If intending to use heavier than 150 gn bullets (Max I used was 168gn - and not shabby, but looser groups), in a hunting rifle, then this won't be much use to you.
    @WallyR cheers for that.
    For a 30 cal Ill be looking at a 300 win mag or similar and while it may get fed lighter bullets most of the time it's probably better to set it up for the heavier jobbies that you can use in such a case if I ever get the need to.
    If I was looking at a 308 id definitely be in but as @ebf suggested if they are all a slow twist then I might be out of luck anyway.
