    WECSOG quick-attach Versapod adapter.

I like the design of my $37 chinese knock-off Versapod bipod much better than my Harris bipods. One thing I don't like about it is the attachment method, it is QD in theory, in that you can attach/remove the bipod itself quickly and easily, but it leaves an annoying lump attached to your forward sling swivel. I hate having anything unnecessary attached to my rifle so I decided to make some alterations. 10 caffeine and boredom fuelled minutes with a dremel later, and I have this:

Slide on, spin big nut 5-6 times, and it's tight. Takes all of 5 seconds to attach. I'm going to replace that giant nut with a smaller wingnut tomorrow.

End result, just as stable as it used to be.

Just a quick trick that takes no time and costs nothing if you want to make your versapod or knockoff more user friendly. It's ugly but it doesn't permanently alter your rifle.
