    Super strength Arildite will be as good as anything. Just rough up the surfaces before you apply it. Not sure what "balloon fillers" are but a small block of solid plastic (or wood or anything else the stud will screw into) inserted in the stock will make it plenty strong enough. If you are using a threaded QD stud then the thread will pull the block down and the glue will not be under any stress at all.
