luvly day friday -conned Mrs into letting me use some dosh to pick upa neat wee Norinco jw15 carbine &suppresor for $250.00. now wears my spare scope! ye trusty old nikkostirling 4x32
course i got the matra -no xmas presents(neat gets me out of xmas shopping) no youre not playing santa(neat working xmas day so wiggle out of xmas dinner /drag out presents rigmarole )how good does this get.
soooo- yesterday for the third time i hunted the mancave hi&lo looking for the spare mag for me old faithful.22 toz17- had the old b...h for near on 40yrs and shes never complained.
Doyou think i can find the thing -not on ya nelly -however........I have in my firearms bits box a shell of a TOz mag(currently they were on TM for $120.00 each.)
a bit of aluminium some sawing and some file work and theres the follower and base made. springs -a bit of a quandary -tried 3 biro springs -spirals went all over the place.
so offto "Shooters Supplies" home of the "good blokes"and wouldnt ya know it they came up trumps again with a 10rd mag spring for $5.00.Thanks andy ,i owe you one.
home i goes and with beer at hand proceeds to welder solder screw&glue.

whos a bloody smart boy then eh-was cleaning out my ammo safe yesterday ,having been gifted another 40+rds of .303 ammo ,when bugger me what should appear in a bag of 12g rounds but a certain bloody toz.22 magazine- yesireeee the very one ive hunted high and low for! speaking of ammo -used my xmas H&F voucher to buy some more .22 subs yesterday -bloody mayhem at local H&F store .a bit of a shock to ye ols system -winchester subs -!2.00pkt(24 cents a round.hells bells ican remeber it being 2.50a pkt and we refer red to rabbits as 5cpotroast. doesnt matter cause ive got about 1500rds in stock anyhow.

Went into H&F the other day with a voucher ,thought id by some 410 ammo with it for the kids .... Yeah .. Naa.... the bloke at the counter said ..we cant accept vouchers for ammunition ... I was like WTF ???

yep ,two packets of winchester subs =24.00and the lassy gave me a couple of trinkets to make it up to the 30.00value -no probs whatsoever .cameron moore(owner) was behind the counter too as place was packed to gunwales and there was some bloody hefty buying going on assorted plastci cards i tell you. no probs for me! sounds to me like you may have struck an inexperienced staff member or someone a couple of tomatoes short of a good bottle of watties.

Hmmm-are you sure its not just an individual store policy,cause i know in the past when ive won H&F vouchers ive used them often for 12g ammo.

did exactly that hamsav -a .223 &accessories for my 60th birthday ,then a new.22 &accessories for XMAS. wifey did grunt about the second ,but fairs fair.anyhow no more room in the gunsafe or mancave for that matter so thats it at present. had them +my 12gSxS an d 12g semiauto out for a trip the other w/e
