I like the idea of making up your own designs, and before this one has even been seen through to completion I have ideas for 5 others, ranging from .224 to 8mm. I think this is going to be an expensive rabbit hole to go down in the coming years.

Mine is a 6.5 06 120gn at 3000 is easy
Not really a wildcat as such, but I'm amassing parts to build a single shot 243AI at the moment, just waiting on the reamer now
I'm also chasing buying a 303-22 complete rifle that comes with brass, dies and the chamber reamer that it was cut with
That's an interesting wildcat
I also have 303-25 dies and could make a chamber reamer based on the brass they form
That's a pretty useful wildcat

The great benefit of the 6.5 is accuracy.
I'm guessing a 303-6.5 in a bolt action LE is not really a great platform to get the best out of that wildcat
The 303-25 was very popular in Australia and there were plenty of 303-27s as well going by the various factory rounds listed on the cartridge collector forums

I sure do understand
I could make a rimless extractor for the 307 I have just build and run it with standard 308 brass
But I like single shot rifle and have stayed true to the rimmed cases
Stick a 303-6.5 in a decent single shot action and you would have a very fine and potentially accurate round

Work in progress on buying the 303-22
The 303 case family is generally bigger than what's currently considered safe in a contender but it would bolt in on an encore
If the twist was right it would be a nice round.
I do know where a 303-22 chamber reamer is but not sure which of the various lengths it is
Will get on to it ASAP

Good stuff. Yes a somewhat overbore option its called I believe. The 303/25 I used hit like a sledgehammer. I think I sold all my 330/25 brass and rounds, have some 303/22 brass still.
Would need a careful bullet, throat and twist selection to get most out of it. Then again, that was not quite what the 303 cased wildcats were all about.
Have a 2506 AI 110AB's at 3400 lighter softer pills at 3800
250 3000 Savage AI would be a very efficient light recoiling round.
Have two Ackleys 65.06ai built on Sako75, started life as 2506, and a 280ai built on REM700. Now days the 280ai probably no longer a wildcat as available in some factory oferrings & factory ammo.
