Win Model 94 tang screw Help?

I figure you clever buggers that do a bunch of home builds might be a good place to start..

Does anyone know where I might find a tang screw for a Winchester Model 94? Prefer to source in NZ if possible

I bought my uncles rifle a couple of years back, its been carried on more pig-hunts than I'll probably ever see days in the bush in my life. Am giving it a bit of a birthday. But probably never fired more than a hundred rounds.
Fixing a split in the fore end, removing some rust etc. Its nice to carry and point, so will probably replace the .308 when I'm hunting tight scrub.

Somewhere along the way he's lost the tang screw and replaced it with a nyloc hex nut and standard screw. Would like to get this back to looking good.

    Cheers

    K

Im sure you've seen the ones from the USA but just in case you havent,
    newer style (https://homesteadparts.com/shop/tang...64-p-1486.html)
    older style, (https://homesteadparts.com/shop/tang...tml?cPath=1_10)
might pay to have a look around on there just in case I've grabbed the wrong links, looks like you can get a full screw set for $50 odd usd which isnt bad and may be handy if you have to go through the import permit stuff anyways.

The only thing is he will probably be shafted for 60 or more bucks US for postage plus an import permit from the rozzers.
Bit of a pita. If you could find the right screw for 20 bucks or a little more, I'd be like that on a morbidly obese infant on a candy coated chocolate confectionary

Yeah, trying to avoid the import permit route for such a small bit of kit. Worst case I’ll be in the states in May, and try and pick one up while I’m there.

@Ramdomandrews I almost certain to have one
I'm in the bush on the west coast ( have sat Wi-Fi) and home Thursday night.

In the mean time find the specs on line and remind me later in the week to find it

Also might be the same at the 1885 and 92s
