    Wood ID help

    Anyone who knows wood know what this is? I got it in a load of Rumu beans to make some boards out of. Thinking possibly Oregon? It’s lighter than rimu and is very splintery.

    Agreed. Remember the torch-burnt furniture from back in the day? If Douglas Fir, it’ll be stronger than Pinus Radiata of same dimensions.

    Depending on the smell -Irish wood=O'Regan or European Larch.Needs the sniff test
