    Perhaps, but the prices are a very "sour" at the moment and would need about a 25 kg bag of sugar between now and then to improve them. .

    In think this tech will always hold a price premium, Say like $5k~ but the quality will skyrocket similar to cellphones - top of range has always been around 7-1000$ but what you get for that money keeps on getting better and better.

    Prices are the same - ours are NZD and include GST ($2100 odd)

    Trouble is US export restrictions and they are the biggest consumer, outside there its only a small market + military etc - so no volume to help

    Its already very good, I have been using a hand held unit that will easily pick up rabbits in longish grass to 6-700y and sheep/deer out to 1500 ish in the. rain.

    yeah-na. I get better coverage now than I ever did with the old 3w suitcase but that probably just more towers I guess. What hand held thermal unit do you have?

    hd 38 i think? had a 30? for a while, better picture but less detection range.
