Thread: WTB: 308 projectiles

Hi - I'm new to reloading. I've bought some 165s and 125s off the forum and worked up some acceptable rounds for a Howa. I'm keen to develop a load for 150s for sika and reds. What are recommended projectiles? I've heard good things about SST's. Does anyone have any smaller quantities that I can purchase to see how they fly?

Check Gunworks. They usually do sample packs of 15.

150 are to big for sika 130 gr better option

I just finished using up some Barnes TSX 150 gns and shit them all at Sika. I thought them very effective. With chest placement if shots out to 200 yds they really mushed up the internal organs and most shots exited as well. Ang animak that fled after impact didn't get very far. Currently I'm using up some Sako Blade 162 gn which are also OK on Sika so far, just less dramatic.
Maybe I should try some 130 gn next. I don't doubt they would work just fine but need to see if they're actually better.
