be good if we do get representation on the Conservation Authority but then how much actual role in planning will we get -I had a farming mate at Tuai get onto the East Coast Conservation Board - his biggest complaint was that they would go to a meeting with DOC and DOC would tell them what they had done and were going to do - they were supposed to have a role in future planning and policy - but no - DOC are bad at notifying only - true consultation means one has yet to make up ones mind and are prepared to change plans after consultation - DOC fail to understand that - we shall wait and see but I remain hopefull -lets not forget what the Conservation Act says - Recreational Hunters shall have free and unrestricted access to all DOC estate

National have the hunting and fishing portfolio via Todd McClay. Getting this change using a members bill would be a way for ACT to get change in the hunting and fishing space even though it is a National Party Minister who holds that portfolio.

Yep. On to it before I saw this thread.
It takes 43 muscle's to frown and 17 to smile, but only 3 for proper trigger pull.
What more do we need? If we are above ground and breathing the rest is up to us!
Rule 1: Treat every firearm as loaded
Rule 2: Always point firearms in a safe direction
Rule 3: Load a firearm only when ready to fire
Rule 4: Identify your target beyond all doubt
Rule 5: Check your firing zone
Rule 6: Store firearms and ammunition safely
Rule 7: Avoid alcohol and drugs when handling firearms
