I politely emailed the author to let him know that was incorrect. He replied quickly and said he'd follow it up.

You are asked, "Tell me what arrangements do you have for the disposal of your firearms in the event you cease to be fit and proper, for whatever reason, or in the event of your sudden death or incapacitation?" If there have been no arrangements made then you'd answer, "none" or similar. You are also asked, "Have you included instructions for firearms disposal in your will?" The answer is either yes or no.

This one got me in a bit of a rage, so I sent Stuff.co.nz a message over facebook explaining how the article was a compilation of uneducated opinion and straight up lies. The only response I got was "I'll pass this on to the editor who will change it as necessary"... no doubt this will be another case of "it's not of interest to the public to correct out mistakes", so they'll leave the lies on the internet for everyone to read.

FFSthe media did a doozey this time -this complaint is the brainchild of one shannon parker ,google her police complaints associationthen goggle her individually and read the blogspot item -this cow is flakier than any cadbury product ever made .
it seems she was practising a bit of ye old lengthwise lambada with a police sgt and in return setting up youngsters in crime for him to nail!!
seems all went tits up and her being a shitty livered nark and wanting to get even is determined to nail the boys in blue for all she can.
when you see the photo of it youd have to agree 2 chaff sacks would be a bloody good investment if you fancied your chance.
as for the breathless wee reporter who quoted this daft bint-youre on your way to the trump white house (thats where youre fired before youre hired)and as for the dopey editor who allowed the crap to be published -I hope your mates drink long and hard at your expense dickhead
